What is NAD Therapy?
NAD infusion therapy refers to the administration of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) as a treatment for various conditions. NAD+ is a coenzyme that is involved in many cellular processes, including energy production, brain function, DNA repair, and regulation of cellular metabolism. It is produced naturally in the body, but the body’s ability to produce NAD+ declines with age, leading to a decrease in NAD+ levels over time.
The decline in NAD+ levels has been linked to a variety of age-related health conditions, such as neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders, and cardiovascular disease. Some researchers believe that supplementing with NAD+ or other compounds that can increase NAD+ levels may help to slow the aging process and improve overall health.
NAD therapy can help with a variety of conditions, such as addiction, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, and age-related diseases. Some people have reported improved focus and mental clarity after NAD treatments.
There is some preliminary research to suggest that it may have potential benefits for certain mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, which could indirectly improve focus and mental clarity.
Some studies have also suggested that it may also have potential benefits for certain health conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease, and overall brain function, although more research is needed to confirm these findings.
NAD therapy can take many forms, including intravenous (IV) infusion treatments, nasal spray, and oral supplements. Intravenous IV drips offer a direct and rapid delivery method, allowing for rapid delivery of the coenzyme to the body’s cells, bypassing the digestive system.
NAD+ is administered in dosages ranging from 250mg to upwards of 1000mg, depending on the targeted symptoms and their severity. Many people will find great benefit from standard 250mg dosages, while 500mg is our most common dosage administered. Some protocols call for multiple infusions over several consecutive days to maximize the uptake of the nutrient in order to receive the best overall benefit.
NAD treatment is recommended four days in a row for optimal results, especially your first-time getting NAD therapy.
It is important to note that NAD therapy can also have side effects, such as nausea, headache, and dizziness, which is why we recommend up to 4 hour drip times for 500mg infusions.
It is also important to further note that NAD therapy has shown to be beneficial for those recovering from substance abuse as a natural treatment option to addiction recovery. While we at HH&WC support your efforts, we recommend any addiction recovery treatments should be administered at an in-patient facility with specialized care that we cannot provide.
